Welcome to the Palmetto Cares LLC website. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of palmettocaresllc.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

About this Site

The Site is informational. It describes the counseling practice of Ronald Jackson, LISW-CP, and provides ways to get in touch. The Site does not itself provide clinical services, and using it does not create a therapist-client or other professional relationship.

Not a substitute for clinical care

Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not act — or refrain from acting — on the basis of Site content without seeking appropriate professional care.

Palmetto Cares provides mental health evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment through Ronald Jackson, LISW-CP, licensed by the State of South Carolina (clinical license #15577). Palmetto Cares does not provide medical services, medical evaluations, or medical advice.

Reading the Site, contacting us, or scheduling an appointment through a linked portal does not by itself establish a therapist-client relationship. That relationship begins only after an initial session in which we mutually agree to work together and any required intake paperwork has been completed.

Emergencies

The Site is not designed to respond to emergencies, and we are not able to provide crisis intervention through email, phone, or web messaging. If you or someone you know is in crisis, thinking about suicide, or facing a mental health emergency, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

Links to third-party services

The Site links to external services, including the TherapyPortal client portal and public crisis resources. Those services are operated by others and governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Palmetto Cares is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of external sites or services.

Intellectual property

The Site content, including text, graphics, logos, images, and design, is owned by Palmetto Cares LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print Site content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use Site content for any other purpose without written permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Palmetto Cares LLC and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site — including but not limited to reliance on information found on the Site, inability to access the Site, or interactions with linked third-party services.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
